Sergio Jaramillo Buitrago was born in Manizales, Colombia in 1990, he studied Industrial Design at the Pontificia Bolivariana University of Medellin,Colombia and finished his degree at the Universidad Federal
de Santa Catarina, Brasil.
He has experience in research, conceptualization and development of product and spatial installation.
Sergio uses an anthropological view of the material culture to achieve a cohesion between user-content-space.
He is a designer with an emphasis on computer-aided design (CAD) and computer aided manufacturing (CAM).
In 2018 he finished a Master in Spaces and Communication at the Haute école d’art et de design de Genève HEAD, Switzerland.
In his diploma project, "RECONSTRUCTION" he explores audiovisual installation and film making as a proposal for new waves of commemoration after geopolitical ongoing conflicts.
Recently he begun a project named Casa Bahareque, a physical-digital space that promotes, connects and disseminates creative initiatives in rural communities affected by the geopolitical conflicts in Colombia.
